"Doctor in Petticoats" by Mary Connealy

"Doctor in Petticoats" is the first in a new series Sophie's Daughters by Mary Connealy. The first series that Mary Connealy wrote was the Lassoed in Texas Series. The first book in the series is Petticoat Ranch nand it is about Sophie and her girls and how Sophie finds a new husband and life in Texas. This new series that starts with Doctor in Petticoats is about Sophie's daughters. Beth is the second oldest daughter and is on her way home from Boston, where she was in school to be a nurse. On the way home, Beth almost had a stagecoach accident and meets a Dr. Alex. Through a serious chain of events, Beth and Alex are married and serving the town as a doctor and wife team. Alex is a deserter of the war and had a bounty on his head. As Alex and Beth fight for their lives, they learn to lean on each other and God. I read this book in onen day. I just could not put it down. If you like westerns and love stories then pick up this book. It is a great read, as are all of Mary Connealy's books.

"Breach of Trust" by DiAnn Mills

I finished reading this book last night. I read it in about 3 days. This is the first book by DiAnn Mills that I have read but it will NOT be the last. Breach of Trust is about a lady, Paige Rogers who is the librarian in a small town in Oklahoma. Paige is hiding in this small town because she use to be a CIA operative. Daniel Leary is running for governor of Oklahoma and wants to make sure Paige does not talk about what happened on their last mission together. While Paige is trying to forget that part of her life, Daniel Leary is trying to break  Paige and ruin her life for good. This book has so many twists and turns and you will never see the end coming. I could not put the book down. You will be excited and surprised at the turn of each page. Enjoy the book and look for others in the Call of Duty Series.

Next Book "Love Finds You in Holiday, Florida" by Sandra D. Bricker

"Disaster Status" by Candace Calvert

Disaster Status is Calvert's second book in the Mercy Hospital Series. I actually finished this book a week or so ago but did not have time to write the review. This book picks up with Erin Quinn from the first book and shows her after her move to the beach with her grandmother. Erin runs into a handsome fire captain Scott. Scott will not let her push and bully him around. Erin is determined not to fall in love unless the love will be just like her grandmothers and Scott has been hurt by himself and won't let go of the pain and guilt. Through several crisis in both of their lives, they find each other and the families they had left behind. This book will bring you to tears and make to thankful for the family and loved ones around you. Take joy in each new day and read this book!

Only Uni - Camy Tang

Only Uni is the the second book in the Sushi Series by Camy Tang. The series follows four cousins through life and decisions about work, boys, family, jobs and more. This book is about Trish, who is trying to get over a protective, possessive ex-boyfriend. Trish makes 3 new rules to follow God, only date Christian men and win people for God. She joins a new church, volunteers for a bunch of new projects and gets into some pretty funny situations. The ex-boyfriend keeps popping up everywhere and causing trouble, while a co-worker is trying to win Trish's heart.
This book was an easy and fun read. This is light-hearted to read quickly but also has a great message about God's unconditional love for His children.

~ Next book is The Postcard Killers by James Patterson ~ I know they books do not follow, but I have to change up the action to not get bored. ~

Gone to Green ~

Gone to Green by Judy Christie was a fun and endearing book. I loved reading about the life in Green, LA. I love to read and the reading and writing life of a journalist amazes me. In this book, Lois has just taken over a small paper in Green, LA. She is from the big city, and is not use to the nosy, in your business, way of life for the Green community. The tells of how she gets down and gets involved in the town and falls in love with the people. Lois also starts to uncover some illegal actions with some of the towns people. I enjoyed every minute of the book. You can find it on Amazon, and for the Kindle readers it is on the free download list. I am looking forward to her next book in the series.

The Sheriff's Surrender ~ Susan Page Davis

I finished this book on Tuesday afternoon, out at the pool. This was a very fun and quick read. The story flows nicely without getting bored. The story starts with the towns only sheriff being found dead. The town does not have a doctor, undertaker, and preacher. Gert and her brother help fix guns in the small town. Gert is one of the best shooters in town. After the murder of the sheriff, ladies in town start going to Gert for shooting tips, and thus the Ladies Shooting Club is born. The story follows the town as they try to find the sheriffs killer.

The Gunsmith's Gallantry is the 2nd book in this series. It just came out in June and you can get it on Amazon books or Amazon Kindle.

Next book on my list is ~ Gone to Green by Judy Pace Christie
