"Full Disclosure" & "Unspoken" by Dee Henderson

Dee Henderson is one of my favorite authors of Christian mystery novels. This book Full Disclosure came out in October 2012.

The story is about a Paul Falcon who is a FBI murder cop and Ann Silver a cop's cop as the Midwest Homicide Investigator. She is called in when the local cops need a new set of eyes on a case. The story unfolds as Paul is given a case by Ann that she is trying to solve. Ann has lots of friends from cops to US Marshals and Ann has made a living out of writing books about these friends. Paul is intrigued by Ann and wants to learn more about her.

This story pulls in characters from the O'Malley series that Dee Henderson wrote years ago.

Unspoken was released yesterday. I have only read the first chapter but I cant wait to get deeper int he book. Charlotte Graham was a victim of kidnapping as a young person and changed her identy to help live a normal life. Bryce Bishop is a coin collector and owns a coin shop. Charlotte convinces Bryce to sell her coins in his shop. Bryce is best friends with Paul Falcon and Ann Silver. I will post a new review when I have finished the book Unspoken.

Summer Reading Challenge

This summer to help my kids read and not be on the tv and computer the ENTIRE summer, I created a summer reading challenge. The kids have to read everyday, and read more pages in one week then ME! I read a lot and so we have added some healthy reading competition. If the kids beat me, then they each get $5 from me. They have won every week so far and only by a few pages except for this week....as I have been very busy!

My daughter is reading thru the Harry Potter series again ~ she just started book 4

My son is reading a few books ~
Here are a few books I have already read this summer.

Christy and Todd the College Years!

Robin Jones Gunn writes my favorite series about Christy Miller. The start of the series is when she is 14 and  moving from the mid-west to the sunny beaches of southern California. This book is the 1st in a 3 book series about Christy and her boyfriend Todd and they continuation of their love story. This book is for free download on Amazon. I have it in print but couldn't resist the free download. Enjoy the reading!

As You Wish, is book 2 in this series. Christy has come back to southern California, enjoying her junior year of college with all her friends, and finding out just how serious her relationship is with Todd.

I Promise, the last book in the series, is the coming together of Christy and Todd. Graduation from college, getting married, and Todd's car accident add to all the stress in the last book. Everyone has advice and "help" to give Christy as her wedding day approaches, can the stress and advice help them as a couple of make them break up for good?

I'm telling you this is one of the best series EVER! If you have teens or collage age girls, this is a great story to read and fall in love with these characters.

Out of Control by Mary Connealy

Out of Control is book 1 in the Kincaid Brides series. Julia Gilliland loved the outside world around her. She is out hiking through some caves when someone pulls up her rope and keeps her trapped in the caves. Rafe Kincaid owns the land in and around the caves and as he is out looking at the caves and comes to the rescue of Julia.

This is an okay read but it is free for Kindle on Amazon so I thought I would point that out. Most of Mary Connealy's books are much better but this is still a funny story about 2 people who have different passions but still fall in love....

James Patterson does it again with 12th of Never

I don't read a lot of secular fiction books. Most of the secular books can get to romantic and are left with no plot. I started reading Patterson books when there was a short run of a tv series called Women's Murder Club. It was based on the books by Patterson, of which there are 12 books now. The book series is about 4 women, a cop, DA, medical examiner and journalist who come together to solve murders in their fair town!

All of the books in this series leave you hanging on every word and the pages flying.

For book 12, the women are plagued by a civilian who keeps dreaming of murders to the smallest detail, and them coming true. The civilian has an alibi for all the murders even his own!
We have a missing body from the morgue, a sick baby and lots of laughter in between the drama.
Every time I pick up a Women's Murder Book I feel like I'm going back to visit old friends.

Dangerous Mercy ~ Kathy Herman

Dangerous Mercy ~ This book is the second one in the Secrets of Roux River Bayou series by Kathy Herman. There is a bathtub killer on the loose in Les Barbes (in southern Louisiana). The killer is targeting CEO's and presidents of major companies that have had major layoffs and cut-backs. The killer is killing in the bathtubs and spray painting numbers on the walls. This is an intense thriller that will keep you on the edge of your seats, and flipping the pages.

Toward the end of the book, one of the characters, Adele Woodmore, starts singing a song, In The Garden. This song is my Mom, Aunt's, and Grandmothers favorite song. It was my grandmothers song and it was played at her funeral. The day I finished the book and came across the song was the same evening my mom and aunt had spent the day with family. The family was burying my cousins husband who died in a motorcycle accident over the weekend. It was a Total God Thing for me to come across this song the same evening my family was encountering such a great loss to the family.

Jennifer ~ An O'Malley Love Story

Dee Henderson is an Awesome writer who I love to talk about. Her books are ones to own and cherish through the years. This book that I read in a day, is her latest and greatest story.
Jennifer is a Pediatrician who falls in love and learns to trust God all while discovering she has spinal cancer. This original O'Malley series starts right after this books ends.....a few weeks after this book ends. If you want to start falling in love with the entire O'Malley family......Start here!

Even though I have read all of these books, when I finished Jennifer I wanted to jump into the rest of the series all over again.

Here is the link for the 1st two books in the O'Malley Series
